OUR STONES

Loose Gemstones

We stock a wide and ever-changing selection of all natural, precious and semi-precious stones, specialising in Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. Offering a broad range of shapes and sizes from smaller, calibrated/melee stock, to larger, single stones and matching pairs – with various styles and price points, we have options to suit both fine and more everyday jewellery designs.

At CR Gems, it all starts with careful selection. Every one of our gemstones is still hand-selected by our founder, whose expert eye and decades of experience ensure each stone meets our high standards. With a deep understanding of the trade and a passion for coloured gems, each stone isselected based on its colour, cut, clarity and overall character – always with the needs of jewellers and designers in mind.

Sourcing

Our stones are sourced from trusted suppliers in key locations including Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Colombia, Brazil, Zambia and Madagascar — regions known for producing some of the best coloured gems in the world. We work directly with dealers we know and trust, who we’ve dealt with for many years, ensuring traceability and fair practices wherever possible.

Certifications

We aim to GIA certify the vast majority of our gemstones over 1.5ct to ensure full transparency and peace of mind – being one of the largest suppliers of GIA Certified loose gemstones. For some of our stock, including much of our finished jewellery, these are WGI Certified, complete with a full Jewellery Report. Stone Certifications confirm details such as origin and any treatments (like heating or oiling), helping you build trust and support your sale with your clients. All certified stock comes with the official printed certificate, including the reference number, which can be used to download the digital copy from the relevant certification websites.

Manufactured Jewellery

Alongside loose gemstones, we also manufacture our own jewellery, offering both mounted and semi-mounted pieces at wholesale prices – ideal for ready-to-sell stock, or adaptable custom orders. Our jewellery features our premium-coloured gemstones, set alongside natural diamonds and crafted in precious metals, with options including 9K and 18K white and yellow gold, as well as platinum.
